Why 7 days cost less than 7 single days

The weekly discount is not marketing trickery: it reflects the real cost of vehicle management for medium durations. Bureaucracy (contract, check-in/out, audit), cleaning, post-return fuel have fixed costs per rental regardless of duration. Spreading them over 7 days instead of 3 lowers the daily unit cost by 8-10%.

• Day 1 (arrival): OLB airport pickup, accommodation check-in, dinner at Olbia port.
• Day 2 (Costa Smeralda): Porto Cervo + Spiaggia del Principe + Romazzino.
• Day 3 (Costa Smeralda south): Capriccioli + Liscia Ruja + Grande Pevero. Dinner Phi Beach or Porto Rotondo.
• Day 4 (La Maddalena): Palau + ferry + full day archipelago (Spargi, Budelli, Caprera).

Tricks to optimise the week

• Fuel: refuelling outside Olbia is always cheaper (Tempio Pausania or Arzachena -10 cents/L vs Costa Smeralda). Plan a full tank early in the week outside the tourist zone.
• Top beaches in high season: Cala Brandinchi and Spiaggia del Principe parking full by 10:30. Set early alarm for 2-3 top beaches, others you can visit in the afternoon.
• Porto Cervo dinners: book minimum 3 days in advance (July/August even 7-10). Olbia centre trattorias (Su Nuraghe, Da Antonio) are excellent cheaper alternatives.
• Mid-week vehicle change: if you want to try a sports car (BMW M2) only for 2 weekend days, you pay pro-rata difference. Common practice among holidaying couples.
