This policy describes how KS Rent S.R.L. processes the personal data of users of www.ksrentsardinia.com, pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.

2. What data we collect
- Rental request data: when you use the request form, the site prepares a WhatsApp message with the chosen vehicle, dates and pick-up location, which you send to our number yourself. The conversation (name, contact, any details) therefore takes place on WhatsApp. On our system we only store, in non-identifying form, the technical data of the request (vehicle, period, location, time) for statistical purposes.
- Contact data: if you write to us via WhatsApp, email or call us, we process the data you provide in order to reply.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we process your email address.
- Rental contract data: at the time of signing (on site or remotely) we collect the personal, driving licence and ID data needed to conclude and perform the contract.

4. Processing methods
Data is processed using electronic and, where necessary, paper tools, adopting appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure security and confidentiality, and is accessible only to authorised staff and the external processors listed in point 5.
5. Recipients and processors
To provide our services we rely on suppliers that process data on our behalf as processors (Art. 28 GDPR) or as independent controllers for their own services:
- Supabase (database hosting and site data storage);
- Vercel (site hosting and delivery);
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Maps, Google Fonts — see Cookie Policy);
- Meta Platforms (communications via WhatsApp);
- n8n (internal automations, e.g. reminder emails);
- Telegram (internal tool for contract generation).
Data is neither disclosed nor sold to third parties.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (e.g. Google, Vercel, Meta) may also process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, with appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 ff. GDPR.
7. Retention period
Data is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected: contractual and tax data for the legal term (generally 10 years); contact and request data for as long as needed to manage the relationship; the newsletter email until consent is withdrawn; cookie data according to the durations indicated in the Cookie Policy.
8. Your rights
As a data subject you may exercise at any time the rights under Art. 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction, portability, objection, as well as withdrawal of consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before withdrawal). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
