This notice illustrates the customer's right of withdrawal for rental contracts concluded at distance with KS Rent S.R.L., in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 6 September 2005 no. 206 (Consumer Code) and subsequent amendments.
1. Standard withdrawal period (art. 52 Italian Consumer Code)
For contracts concluded at distance (online, phone, email) the consumer Customer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of contract conclusion, without giving any reason and without penalty.
2. Exception for date-specific services (art. 59 Italian Consumer Code)
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for "car rental or other transport services, when the trader undertakes to provide the service on a specific date or period". Therefore:
- For rentals with a confirmed delivery date, the standard 14-day withdrawal right is NOT applicable
- Cancellation of a confirmed booking follows the cancellation conditions set out in the contract
3. Cancellation conditions for confirmed bookings
For date-specific bookings, KS Rent applies the following fair cancellation conditions:
- Cancellation more than 7 days before: free, no penalty, full refund of any deposit
- Cancellation between 7 and 2 days from delivery date: 30% penalty of the total rental amount
- Cancellation less than 48 hours before: 100% penalty of the total rental amount (no-show)
- Cancellation for documented force majeure (certified illness, family bereavement, force majeure event): full refund or rescheduling
4. Booking modification
The Customer may request a modification of the delivery date or booked vehicle up to 48 hours before, subject to availability. Modifications within 48 hours are evaluated case by case and may involve a tariff difference charge.
5. How to exercise withdrawal
To exercise the right of withdrawal or request cancellation of a booking, the Customer must communicate their decision through one of the following channels:

The communication must contain:
- Customer's name, surname and fiscal code
- Booking number
- Booked date and vehicle
- Reason (optional for standard withdrawal; mandatory for force majeure)
6. Refund
The refund, if due, is processed within 14 days of receipt of the withdrawal communication, using the same payment method used by the Customer for the booking, unless otherwise indicated in writing.
7. Standard withdrawal form (Annex I, Part B, Italian Decree 21/2014)
The Customer may use the following standard form, filling in the necessary fields and sending it to the addresses indicated above:

8. Competent court
For any dispute relating to the exercise of the right of withdrawal, the Court of Sassari has jurisdiction, subject to consumer protection laws (Consumer's Forum).
